Who we are?
Unique Biyoteknoloji A.Ş. was established in Ege University Technopark in 2020 with TUBITAK 1512 Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG). We are entrepreneurs dedicated to adapting academic knowledge to environmentally friendly, innovative, sustainable solutions for industry. Our initiative, established on the basis of biotechnological product production, produces new generation biological products from sustainable sources, enables the creation of alternative raw materials by evaluating industrial wastes, and progresses by combining solutions from nature on the basis of green chemistry principles.

Prof. Dr. Candaş ADIGÜZEL ZENGİN
Arife Candaş Adıgüzel Zengin, the founder of Unique Biotechnology, started her venture in October 2020, taking the first step of her dream on the road from academia to industry.
He aimed to produce biological, environmentally friendly, natural and innovative products by blending the knowledge he gained during his academic career in the Department of Leather Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ege University since 2001, with biotechnology, green chemistry, sustainable production and circular economy.
UNIQUE Biotechnology, which combines all these features with teamwork and researcher spirit, aspires to produce innovative products that the industry needs with its dynamic new generation structure.
Prof. Dr. Gökhan ZENGİN
In the academy since 1999; in education, research and applications in the leather industry; Gökhan Zengin, who works on new, alternative, environmentally friendly materials and sustainable technologies, has directed his knowledge to transform into commercial products needed in different industries.
More than 30 scientific research projects in which he is involved, he uses his knowledge gained in national and international projects to create a strong network.
Seda Burçak Albayram
After 10 years of experience in research, implementation and customer relations in the field of chemicals and sales in leather industry, she continued to work on project, process development and human resources management in global companies in different sectors.
She is currently working on business development focused on biotechnology, green chemistry, sustainable production and circular economy with her 21 total work experience.
